Meet Craig Baker…Meadows Valley Special Education Director/Teacher...
Craig Baker was born in Blackfoot,
Idaho. He attended school in the Snake
River School District #52. In high school he performed with the Snake River Chamber Singers and provided
sound tech support in all of the school plays. Craig was also a member of the yearbook staff and the Co-Editor in Chief
his senior year. Outside of school he danced with the Snake River Clogger’s and Magic Moments Clogger’s.
Growing up he participated in the Cub Scouting and Boy Scouting programs earning both the Arrow of Light award in Cub Scouts and the Eagle Scout rank as a Boy Scout.
Craig was also a member of the Order of the
Arrow.
Craig earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary and Special Education from Idaho State University in
1995. He earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration also from Idaho State University in 2001.
Craig has taught special education in Idaho
Falls, Idaho; Rexburg, Idaho and Liberty Township, Ohio. He also
worked and a central office administrator in Liberty Township, Ohio.
Craig married Karen in 1991 and together they have 3 children. Daniel and Bronwen will
be attending school in the Meadows Valley School District this year. Baeddan has a few years before he begins. Craig
likes to garden and landscape in his free time. He also enjoys leather work and fiber arts. Craig and his family love
to camp and cook in the outdoors. He and his family are very excited to join the New Meadows community.
