Meet
Ms. Richelle Barger...
Ms. Barger is the owner and publisher of The Current News, a newspaper in Riggins.
She grew up in Shelby, Montana and graduated from Shelby High School in 1989. She went to Montana State and participated
in an exchange program with the University of Idaho. She earned her Bachelors of Art degree in Graphic Design and will have
her Kindergarten -12th grade Art teaching certification and endorsement in December. When she was in school, she
enjoyed everything! "Do it all" was her motto. She participated in Art Club, Volleyball, Basketball, Pep Club, and
the Lettermen’s Club. She has traveled to Baja Mexico; Paris, France and even Mali, Africa. Her favorite books
are by Shel Silverstein, Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson & David Oliver
Relin, and Skinny Legs and All, by Tom Robinson.
Ms. Barger has one son, Lutra who is in the third grade.
Mrs. Barger”s hobbies include gardening, hiking, river sports, painting, road trips, and photography. Her favorite quote
is, “think differently”.
Ms. Barger is looking forward to working with Meadows Valley students, inspiring
them to dream, and exploring great ideas, she says, “You never know what you might create!”
